Crochet Pattern: Frances the Frog Amigurumi

I love making amigurumi.  They’re so fun and adorable, and the options are limitless!  This is a little froggy dude I made up for your crocheting enjoyment!  You’ll need some safety eyes for this little guy, along with worsted weight yarn and a size G hook.

Eyes (make 2)

R1: Ch 2; work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook (6 st)

R2: Sc 2 in each sc around (12 st)

R3-4: Sc in each sc around (12 st)

R5: *Sk next sc, Sc 1* repeat 6 times (6 st)

Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing to head. Attach a safety eye to each, then stuff.

Head

R1: Ch 2; work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook (6 st)

R2: Sc 2 in each sc around (12 st)

R3: *Sc 1, sc 2 in next sc* repeat 6 times (18 st)

R4: *Sc 2, sc 2 in next sc* repeat 6 times (24 st)

R5: *Sc 3, sc 2 in next sc* repeat 6 times (30 st)

R6: *Sc 4, sc 2 in next sc* repeat 6 times (36 st)

R7-10: Sc 36 (36 st)

R11: *Sc 4, dec 1* repeat 6 times (30 st)

R12: *Sc 3, dec 1* repeat 6 times (24 st)

Work on face, sewing eyes to head.

Stuff head.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Fasten off; leave a long tail for sewing to body. Stuff lightly.

Legs (make 2)

R1: Ch 2; work 4 sc in 2nd ch from hook (4 st)

R2: Sc 2 in each sc around (8 st)

R3-15: Sc 8 (8 st)

Fasten off; leave a long tail for sewing to body. Stuff lightly.

Scarf

R1: Ch 40; turn.
