Craft Tutorial: Random Letter Subway Art
I love letter stickers. They’re so handy for so many projects! There is, however, one big problem I have with letter stickers. After a couple of projects, I find myself left with a random collection of letters that don’t spell anything. What can you do when you have a bunch of leftover oddball consonants and maybe a few vowels? Try making random letter subway art!
Supplies:
- Letter stickers
- Solid-colored scrapbook paper
- Picture frame(s)
Directions:
Cut a piece of paper to the size of your picture frame. (Mine are 5″ by 7″.) Before you start applying letter stickers, sort them by size from the largest font to the smallest. (The more different size letter stickers you have, the more interesting your finished product will be!)
Starting with the largest letter stickers, apply begin putting them onto your piece of paper. You can place the letters facing in different directions, but make sure to keep them in straight lines parallel to the edges of the paper.
Place some of the next largest stickers around the first stickers. Try to make them fit together like the pieces of a puzzle.
Continue adding stickers, working from large to small. Use the smaller stickers to fill gaps between the larger stickers. When you’ve added the smallest stickers and filled all of the gaps on the page, you’re done! Frame, display, and enjoy!
